Amazon: partner tag, Creators API and starter mode

AffiliateAI currently works with the Amazon Associates programme on amazon.de. AWIN is in preparation.

Partner tag #

Every Amazon link on your site carries your partner tag, for example mysite-21. It is required in the assistant. Commissions go to your own Associates account only.

Creators API #

Live prices, availability and product images come from the Amazon Creators API using your own credentials. Amazon currently unlocks the API only after your account has qualified sales, usually around ten. Amazon sets and may change that threshold. Until then the API answers AssociateNotEligible.

Enter the credentials in the assistant under Affiliate sources and test them. They are stored encrypted, requests run through the gateway with throttling and your plan quota.

Starter mode #

Without the API your site starts in starter mode: products from a list of ASINs or Amazon search links, links with your partner tag, but no prices and no Amazon images, because Amazon only allows showing them via the API. Price based metrics stay empty. Once Amazon unlocks the API, enter your credentials and offers, prices and images are added from the next run.
